I'm a Eisner nominated graphic novelist, comics scholar, print maker, textile artist, small press publisher, lecturer and event organiser. I graduated from the RCA in 2003 and received my PhD from UAL in 2024. I make experimental graphic novels and handmade comics using unusual materials such as embroidery, pressed flowers and fire. My graphic novels are The Black Project, A Thousand Coloured Castles, The Dancing Plague and The Compleat Angler. In 2026 I published my first academic monograph Reading Comics Through the Body
