I'm a graphic novelist, comics scholar, print maker, textile artist, small press publisher, teacher and event organiser. I graduated from the RCA in 2003. I make experimental graphic novels and handmade comics utilizing unusual materials such as embroidery, pressed flowers and fire. In 2012 I won the First Graphic Novel Prize. My graphic novel's The Black Project and A Thousand Coloured Castles are published by Myriad Editions, The Dancing Plague and The Compleat Angler are published by SelfMadeHero. In 2024 I received a PhD from UAL, researching materiality and the tactile imagination in comics.
